How to Operate

This ion counter has two measurement modes.

1. Average mode --- The average negative ion count per 20 sec.
2. Accumulation mode --- The accumulated ion count since the measurement started.

Here is how to operate in the Average mode as this mode is normally used. Very easy!

Turn on

Push the "POWER" button for 2 or more seconds to turn on.

Measurement in progress

Measurement starts as soon as turned on.

"---" blinks while the measurement is in progress.

Display

The average negative ion count is displayed in 20 sec.

This image shows the ion count (6pcs/cc) with no radioactive ore.

This image shows the ion count (1058pcs/cc) with Apatite stones.

The detector on the back side of the body has to maintain contact with ores while the measurement is in progress.

Push the "RESET" button to restart measurement.

Switch the mode

Push the "MODE" button for 2 or more seconds to switch to the Average <=> Accumulation mode.

The image on the right shows the counter is in the Accumulation mode.

Turn off

Push the "POWER" button for 2 or more seconds to turn off.
