You can measure positive ions and negative ions by pushing - / + button.
You just push some buttons. It is great for outdoor use, R&D and demonstration purposes.
It fits your palm and weights less than 400g.
The "LO" mode enables you to precisely measure low density ions with little impact
from air flow and changes of electric field.
The ion count data is shown in graph form on the display for further analysis.
The built-in memory can store 15 x 30 minute measurement records.
The date, time, temperature and humidity information can be displayed by one push-button during operation.
It comes with a rechargeable lithium-ion battery.
You can fully charge the counter while using it via the AC adaptor.
You can measure a wide range of ion densities without interruption in the auto-ranging mode.
Or you can switch to the manual mode.

I also liked the service I was provided because when I first received the item it was enclosed with a manual in Japanese version. I was worried in the beginning because the actual ion count is the reading x 1000 and I thought it might confuse them. However, there has been no problem.
