What is the difference between a negative ion air purifier and a standard air purifier?

A negative ion air purifier generates negative ions. The ions combine with particles and fall onto the floor to remove them from the air. A standard air purifier intakes the air using a fan and the air is purified when it passes through the filter(s). Negative ions not only purify the air but can also produce positive effects on the body.
