12. Are negative ions harmful?

Q.12 - I heard that negative ions are harmful for the human body because they contain ozone and radiation rays. Is this true?

A.12 - Negative ions do not contain harmful substances or rays. Some negative ion generators, which employ the corona discharge method, can simultaneously generate ozone and negative ions, while those employing the water splashing method and tourmaline do not produce ozone at all. Radiation rays can generate negative ions but this does not mean they are indispensable for negative ion production.
