Transcription of the demonstration video which shows actual measurements of a negative ion product by using the COM-3010PRO.
1. I now measure negative ions generated by radioactive substances. It is easy!
2. Turn on the ion counter.
3. "-1-" shows the counter is working in the normal measurement mode.
4. Push the "START" button and then measurement starts immediately.
5. It takes approx. 20 seconds to complete measurement. "-" moves from left to right during measurement.
6. Measurement has been completed. 530 (pcs/cc) negative ions have been detected.
7. I measure negative ions generated by a sheet made with a radium ore.
8. Place the sheet under the detector so that they make direct contact.
9. Push the "START" button to start measurement.
10. Wait 20 seconds.
11. Measurement has been completed. 9881 (pcs/cc) negative ions have been detected.
12. Remove the sheet and measure without a sample.
13. Push the "START" button and wait 20 seconds.
14. Measurement has been completed. 563 (pcs/cc) negative ions have been detected. The ion count decreased sharply as the sheet was removed.
15. I measure ions generated by a radium ore.
16. Push the "START" button and wait 20 seconds.
17. Measurement has been completed. 10x the reading is the actual ion count as "X10" turns on. i.e. 57560 (pcs/cc) negative ions have been detected.
18. I measure ions generated by an apatite ore.
19. Place the ore under the detector.
20. Push the "START" button and wait 20 seconds.
21. Measurement has been completed. 1784 (pcs/cc) negative ions have been detected.
