I sent an e-mail to the company along with photos showing the damage and they sent a replacement pot to me (with more secure packaging) and it arrived in Perfect Condition. (The turnaround time on shipping was very quick!) I am very happy with my purchase and the customer service received. This rice cooker is beautiful and works very well! Makes perfect rice! I plan to use it for soups and stews and cooking other grains, too. I will definitely do business with Ion Trading again! I highly recommend this company and their products! Other comments = One area of improvement I would recommend would be to include instructions with the rice cooker for seasoning/pre-use preparation that needs to be done. I requested this info via e-mail and rec'd specific instructions on how to fill small holes in the rice cooker before using it to prepare my rice for the first time.
