Q.12 I measured the ion count generated by a negative ion generator and 30,000 (pcs/cc) were detected at 1.8m away from the generator. Is it possible to calculate the ion count detected at 1.0m?
According to "Medical domain - theory and practice of air ion" written by
Prof. Kimura&Taniguchi of Hokkaido University School of Medicine, negative ion density is in inverse proportion to the square of the distance from the generator.
Therefore, the ion density at 1.0m can be calculated as:
This figure is just for your reference because it can practically be affected by the surrounding air, humidity and other factors.
