A large amount of negative ions can be detected where water splashes such as waterfalls and fountains.
This is called the Lenard's effect.
However ion counts in nature change constantly depending on how water splashes.
We have conducted an experiment near a fountain and found dramatic changes as we moved one step forward or backward. 1,000-10,000(pcs/cc) of negative ions can be detected near a large waterfall but the counts are not consistent.
